It’s straight-forward to run a drain hose out of a dehumidifier so you’re not always draining it

We’re getting early thunderstorms when all of us usually have them in the late summer.

Yesterday I had a tornado warning on my cell iPhone and looked out to see dark skies and ominous cloud cover overhead.

It seems adore the weather is getting less and less predictable as the years go by. My dad lives in a state that is right along the international border and he rarely gets serious tornadoes in his area, but yeahterday a historic F4 tornado touched down and left dozens damaged and 4 dead while causing millions of dollars in damage. It was sudden and unexpected for the small hamlet that hasn’t seen a tornado adore this in its entire history. Like us, they’re also getting inundated with rain right now. Here I’ve been running my dehumidifier all afternoon, everyday to keep the air in my beach house as dry as possible. Even with the dehumidifier running in tandem with the central air conditioner, I can’t seem to keep the humidity any lower than 50% indoors right now. I should be thrilled that it’s below 60%, but I’d still adore to see 30% indoor humidity if I can manage. Lower humidity levels indoors leads to cleaner indoor air conditions. The humidity is what causes the fungal spores to grow, leading to potential health troubles. If I had a larger dehumidifier I might be able to get the air even dryer than 50%, however I can’t budget for something adore that for at least another year or longer. A 80-pint dehumidifier in my section is roughly $300 from most of the big box stores.

My air conditioner expenses are down now that I use a smart thermostat

I needed to find ways to decrease my correct expenses when gasoline prices shot up so high.

It costs me many dollars in each direction every single time I commute to work.

If I had the money, I’d transport closer but all of the neighborhood apartments have rent prices that I simply cannot afford with my up-to-date income. I’m gunning for a modern job if I don’t get the raise I’m looking for, but it’s just a matter of time before I fall behind on my bills. My savings account is almost completely exhausted at this point, however I do have a few fancys in my storage machine that I could possibly sell if I can’t figure out another way to generate money. Recently I noticed that my electricity bill was dropping slightly, and it corresponded to when my father installed the modern smart thermostat for my central heating and cooling system. Since he’s an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional he was able to get the thermostat discounted and then gave it to me for free. The thermostat l received from my existing air conditioner behavior and came up with energy efficient temperature cycles to put the machine through. It runs less in the afternoon when hot and cold temperatures are naturally the hottest outside, which was a critical reason for my electric bill being so high in the first locale. My dad said that next time I put in a modern air conditioner in my house, I need to go with a program with a better SEER rating. That way my energy bill will drop even further during times of serious air conditioner use.

The beach house smelled instantly better after replacing the many month old air conditioner filter

I am a real estate agent and I do what I can to help out my clients when it comes to getting their properties ready for sale.

Some clients are harshly forward-thinking and will do a lot on their end to present their homes in the best possible manner.

Unfortunately, I have just as several clients who seem totally clueless about basic things that would turn off most people when it comes to investing hundreds of thoUSnds of dollars on a property. Don’t try to show your beach house to potential customers with dirty windows, damaged walls, or dusty ceilings. I have told countless clients that they need to spruce up the locale or we’re not going to be able to find a buyer. This should be obvious to sellers, but some of them expect to have customers climbing over a single another for any property that isn’t priced exorbitantly. I was immediately upset when my last client showed me his beach house and I could smell a nasty smell when walking in the front door. Like I figured, he had air admittance valves underneath many odd sinks and they hadn’t been replaced in 40 years. Replacing the valves helped, but it was a modern air conditioner filter that made the largest impact on the smells in that house. The filter in your air conditioner is going to soak up whatever smells are airborne in your home. If you get rid of an smell source, you need to replace the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C filter at the same time as well. It’s a lot easier to forget this step than you may think.
